A patch cord is provided with a light pipe for guiding installation, removal, or changes in connection of the patch cord. The patch cord has a light-accepting plug with a light input and a light-emitting plug having a display area. The light pipe optically connects the light input to the display area. The light pipe may be in addition to twisted pairs of conductors in the patch cord. |
