An organic light emitting apparatus and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to obtain a larger area than a light emitting region of an organic light emitting apparatus having a substrate of the same size without a liquid absorbent by narrowing a non-light emitting region. An organic light emitting apparatus includes a substrate(1), an organic light emitting device(2), a driving circuit(6), a sealed substrate(3), and an absorbent(5). The organic light emitting apparatus is formed on the substrate, and sequentially has a first electrode, an organic compound layer, and a second electrode from the substrate. The driving circuit is formed on at least one side of the organic light emitting apparatus of an outer side of a region on which the organic light emitting device of the substrate is formed. The driving circuit controls a light emitting of the organic light emitting device. The sealed substrate seals the organic light emitting device between the substrate and the sealed substrate. The absorbent is linearly spread on an outer circumference plane of the sealed substrate. A starting point and an ending point of the spread are located on a side where the driving circuit is formed. |
