A multiplexer/demultiplexer in a ring type wavelength division system coupled with a CMTS(Cable Modem Termination System) network is provided to maximize effect of usage of a fiber by using a (C)WDM-PON(Coarse)(Wavelength Division Multiplexing-Passive Optical Network) system and the CMTS network at once. A multiplexer/demultiplexer in a ring type wavelength division system coupled with a CMTS network includes a west CMTS OLT(Optical Line Termination), an east CMTS OLT, and a multiplexing/demultiplexing device(10). The multiplexing/demultiplexing device performs multiplexing/demultiplexing by receiving an optical signal from the west CMTS OLT and the east CMTS OLT, and transmits the optical signal to a west CMTS ONU(Optical Network Unit) and an east CMTS ONU in a ring-type configuration. The multiplexing/demultiplexing device includes a west bandpass filter(21), a west coupling unit(22), a west reception BPF(BandPass Filter)(23), a west transmission BPF(24), an east bandpass filter(31), an east coupling unit(32), an east reception BPF(33), and an east transmission BPF(34). |
