<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery capable of enhancing input output characteristics and cycle characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The battery has a positive electrode 21, a negative electrode 22, and an electrolyte, and a separator 23 interposed between the positive electrode 21 and the negative electrode 23 is impregnated with the electrolyte. In the negative electrode 22, (1) a specific surface area of a carbon material which is a negative active material is in a range of 0.3-1.5 m<SP>2</SP>/g; (2) the molecular weight of a polyvinylidene fluoride which is a negative electrode binder is in a range of 200,000-1,200,000; (3) contents of the negative electrode binder in a negative active material layer 22B are in a range of 2-10 wt.%; (4) the volume density of the negative active material layer 22B is in a range of 1.6-1.9 g/cm<SP>3</SP>; and in the electrolyte, (5) contents of 4-fluoro-1,3-dioxolane-2-on which is a solvent in the electrolyte are 1-30 wt.%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
