<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous ink that can easily redisperse a coloring material contained in the ink even when the coloring material is solidified as a result of evaporation of the solvent, and to provide an ink cartridge and a recording device. <P>SOLUTION: The ink comprises a coloring material, whose surface is chemically bonded with a group having a functional group, water, and a water-soluble organic solvent, wherein, the amount of solid component existing in the supernatant when the ink is subjected to centrifugation at a gravitational acceleration of 2×10<SP>5</SP>G for 60 minutes and having a molecular weight of at least 500 is in the range of ≥0.1 to ≤35 mass% against the total amount of solid component in the ink. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
