<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide stencil printing equipment the main body of which can be used by a normal operating method even when an information input operation is not conducted, in the case when a consumable article having no identification information on the consumable article or an incompatible consumable article is mounted. <P>SOLUTION: The stencil printing equipment includes a means 3 for reading the identification information from a storage means 6 of the consumable article being mounted and a means 8 for detecting that the consumable article is mounted, and includes a control means for determining operating conditions of the equipment main body according to whether or not the mounted consumable article is an incompatible one.
