<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect overload in at least one of a tilting operation and a telescopic operation of a steering wheel with high accuracy, without separately providing sensors. <P>SOLUTION: This electric steering device is provided with: an attitude adjusting mechanism having an electric motor adjusting the position of at least one of a tilting position and an expanding/contracting position of a steering mechanism; a speed command part for outputting a speed command to adjust the position of the attitude adjusting mechanism; a motor control part having a feedforward control part set with a transmission function to obtain target speed based on the speed command outputted from the speed command part to drive the electric motor; a disturbance load estimation means for estimating disturbance load based on load based on speed information on the electric motor and load specific to the attitude adjusting mechanism when controlling the electric motor by the motor control part; and a motor stopping means for stopping the control of the electric motor by the motor control part when the disturbance load estimation value estimated by the disturbance load estimation means is a prescribed value or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
