<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power transmission cable which reduces a burden imposed on a user carrying electronic equipment and enables accurate confirmation of whether the battery supplying electric power to the electronic equipment is a regular product. <P>SOLUTION: In the electric power transmission cable 300, wherein a main connector 310 to be connected to the battery attaching portion 110 of the portable electronic equipment 100 for controlling the supply of electric power based on the identification information of the battery is formed at one end of the cable, while a battery connector 350 to be connected to the battery is formed at the other end, the main connector 310 includes an attachment determining section for determining whether the main connector 310 is attached to the battery attaching section 110, a supply control means 330 for supplying electric power to the portable electronic equipment 100, a transmission terminal 321 for carrying out transmission with the portable electronic equipment 100, and an authentication processing means 335 for transmitting the authentication information to the portable electronic equipment 100 corresponding to the identification information of the portable electronic equipment transmitted from the started portable electronic equipment 100 to allow the portable electronic equipment 100 to start controlling the supply of electric power to the portable electronic equipment 100 corresponding to the identification information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
