GUIDE FRAME FOR BRUSH HOLDER, BRUSH ASSEMBLY, AND ELECTRIC MACHINE HAVING BRUSH HOLDER WITH BRUSH ASSEMBLY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the contact area between a brush and a commutator without expanding axial dimensions in the segment of the commutator.

SOLUTION: A guide frame 4 and a brush assembly 3 are used for a brush holder for an electric machine having the commutator 1. The brush holder has the guide frame to each brush. The guide frame is formed in a shape for receiving the brush 5 inside and has a base part 260 opened so that a groove is formed. The brush projects over the groove. The guide frame and the brush assembly have a means in a shape for avoiding motion toward the outside of the brush. A dynamo-electric machine has the assembly of the device and is used for a starter for vehicles, or the like.
