PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress corrosion of an external connection terminal in a method of manufacturing display panels by which a glass substrate is made thin by etching the glass substrate after fabricating a plurality of display panels at the same time on the glass substrate by gang printing. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the display panels includes: fabricating a TFT motherboard AB by forming, on a glass substrate 110, a plurality of cell units where gate lines 11a and external connection terminals 12 are constituted; fabricating a CF motherboard CB by forming a plurality of cell units on a glass substrate 120; forming a stuck body by sticking the TFT motherboard AB and CF motherboard CB together; making the glass substrates 110 and 120 by etching external surfaces of the stuck body; and parting the thinned stuck body into the cell units, wherein when the stuck body is etched, the external connection terminals 12 are protected against the etching by protection walls 22 provided outside respective second display regions D2 of the CF motherboard CB.
