PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for acquiring a more visible image in a large quantity of data without damaging the merit of a laser microscope in the observation of particles which constitute a powder. SOLUTION: The particles being an observation target are turned afloat in a liquid and observed using a laser microscope. As the laser microscope, a scanning cofocal laser microscope is used and the particles are those of a magnetic powder such as iron oxide, silicon oxide, etc. The liquid having a predetermined refractive index is a liquid with a refractive index of 1-2 such as ethanol, toluene, diiodomethane liquid, etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
