发明名称 METHOD FOR CALCULATING SURGE PROPAGATION VELOCITY IN FAULT LOCATION SYSTEM
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surge propagation velocity calculation method in a fault location system capable of calculating a propagation velocity of a surge waveform, at the time of a fault in an early stage with high precision. SOLUTION: Switching surges are generated by opening and closing a switch provided in a substation, and a switching surge propagation velocity between each substation and another one propagating on transmission/distribution lines is calculated and stored (step S11). If a ground fault occurs (YES in step S12), a switching surge propagation velocity in that fault section is used as a surge propagation velocity (step S13), or the surge propagation velocity in the fault section is found by finding (a ground fault surge propagation velocity/a switching surge propagation velocity) between certain substations not interposing the fault point between, and correcting a switching surge propagation velocity interposing the fault point between by the (ground fault surge propagation velocity/switching surge propagation velocity), or the surge propagation velocity in the fault section is found by using a switching surge propagation velocity matching with a weather condition at the ground fault.
