PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate inconvenience in a style utilizing ring-back tones while utilizing a so-called number display function. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a facsimile machine comprising an EEPROM capable of sounding ring-back tones in calling from an arbitrary calling source, displaying an identification number acquired as notification information relating to the calling source, and storing various kinds of data including identification numbers, wherein a CPU sets and registers an identification number obtained in calling from a specific calling source to the EEPROM as a specific number in response to a predetermined operation during communication operations. In the next calling, the CPU then discriminates (S8) whether an identification number obtained in calling from an optional calling source matches the specific number already set and registered to the EEPROM.
