PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a route search device capable of searching for the optimum route even in such a case that the departure point is different from the previous one when performing route search to the same destination as the previous one by reading the destination and a via point registered in advance. SOLUTION: The destination Ga and preferential points u1 to u7 associated with the destination Ga are registered in an external memory. When the registered destination Ga is read from the external memory to search for a route, the preferential points to be the via points from among the preferential points u1 to u7 associated with the destination Ga are changed according to the departure point (own vehicle position) of the route.
