PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more early detect the quality abnormality of the treated water from a water treatment apparatus while suppressing measuring frequency. SOLUTION: This quality abnormality detection method of water for measuring the quality of the treated water from a water treatment apparatus at every predetermined time and for judging the quality abnormality of treated water to be abnormal when measured values continuously become an abnormal value a plurality of times is characterized in that a next measurement is performed when the measured value of the treated water is an abnormal value at an interval of a time T2 being an interval shorter than a time T1 being a measuring time when the measured value is a normal value.
