PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant deterioration detector for a bearing capable of saving the space in the inside of a bearing, and capable of accurately inspecting deterioration state of the lubricant in the inside of the bearing. SOLUTION: This lubricant deterioration detector is provided with cut-out holes 22a, 22b in an outer ring 22 of the rolling bearing and is arranged with a light-emitting element 2 and a light-receiving element 3 in the cut-out holes 22a, 22b. An optical fiber 4 is provided to be extended from the light-emitting element 2 and to face its tip to the light-receiving element 3 via a measuring gap 7, and the measuring gap 7 is positioned inside a bearing space where a lubricant 5 of the rolling bearing exists.
