A vehicle door such as a tail gate (1) having a pull pocket (P) held by a hand when the door is operated has a door panel (2), a lining (3), and a pull pocket member (4). The lining (3) is provided on that side of the door panel (2) that faces the inside of the vehicle interior when the door is fixed to a vehicle body. The pull pocket member (4) is a member formed separately from the lining (3) and fixed thereto. The pull pocket member (4) has a recessed section (41) presenting a shape that is recessed to the door panel (2) side when the pull pocket member (4) is attached to the lining member (3) and forming an undercut in that face (3a) of the lining (3) that faces the inside of the vehicle interior.
