A transmission system especially a vehicle has a hydrodynamic torque converter (6) and a bridging clutch (48) with outer and inner clutch discs. The inner discs are fitted to a mounting (46) cooled by a fluid duct (78). The inner end of the cooling duct is taken through the hub mounting.
