The .coolant pump has a pump shaft (3) arranged in a bearing (2) in a pump housing (1) and carrying a v-belt pulley and impeller wheel (5) on either end. It has peripherally distributed piston chambers (24) between an annular channel (23) and a displacement chamber (21) for drive pistons (25) with guide journals (26) arranged end-on to the displacement chamber and protruding into a pressure ring (27) to which they are joined.
