Disclosed is a herbicidal mixture comprising (a) at least one herbicidal compound selected from pyrimidines of Formula 1, N-oxides, and salts thereof: (I) here wherein R<SUB>1</SUB> is cyclopropyl, 4-Br-phenyl or 4-Cl-phenyl; X is Cl or Br; R<SUB>2</SUB> is H, C<SUB>1</SUB> -C<SUB>14</SUB>- alkyl, C<SUB>2</SUB>- C<SUB>14</SUB> alkoxyalkyl, C<SUB>3</SUB>-C<SUB>14</SUB> alkoxyalkoxyalkyl, C<SUB>2</SUB>- C<SUB>14</SUB> hydroxyalkyl or benzyl; and (b) at least one additional herbicidal compound selected from compounds of Formula 2, N-oxides, and salts thereof (II) wherein R<SUB>3</SUB>, R<SUB>4</SUB>, W and G are as defined in the disclosure. Also disclosed is a method for controlling the growth of undesired vegetation comprising contacting the vegetation or its environment with a herbicidally effective amount of a composition comprising a mixture of the invention and optionally further comprising at least one other herbicide.
