<p>An electronic camera having an imaging section for imaging an object and creating an image, a selection section for continuously selecting, based on the image created by the imaging section, a focus detection target region in imaging by the imaging section, a display section capable of displaying the image created by the imaging section, a creation section for clipping a portion corresponding to a focus detection target region from the image created by the imaging section and creating an image for tracking target confirmation, and a control section for displaying, in imaging by the imaging section, in a layered relationship a through-image for frame confirmation and the image for tracking target confirmation, the through-image being based on the image created by the imaging section. The construction enables quick and simple confirmation of details of an object as a tracking target.</p> |
