An image processing device and a control method thereof are provided to activate/display functions of a desired mode and process printing data corresponding to the functions when a user selects driver function setting corresponding to a color or B/W(Black/White) function mode in one printer driver. An image processor(110) processes a printing target file, which is inputted through an input unit(150), into a printable printing image of an automatic, B/W, or color function setting mode. A controller(130) generates/displays a menu corresponding to the B/W or color function mode in a display unit(120) depending on property of the printing target, and enables the image processor to process the printing target depending on the displayed menu. A user selector(140) enables a user to select the automatic, B/W, and color function mode. A storing part(160) stores authentication information. The controller enables the image processor to process the printing target depending on the selected function mode when authentication information received from the user is identical with the authentication information stored in the storing part.
