<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply unit capable of preventing thermally adverse effect in a charger without causing a cost rise, when the charger and other substrates are arranged in the same space. <P>SOLUTION: The power supply unit 1000 is equipped with the charger 100A and a charging/discarging switch 100B therein, and detacably mounted on an electric apparatus necessary to set a power supply. The unit has a constitution 110A separately arranging the space for the charger 100A and the charging/discharging switch 100B from the location to mount a controlling substrate 100C for the charging/discharging switch 100B without any communication with the space.
