PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of starting an operation in a prescribed mode by an existing temporary operation switch and a remote controller. SOLUTION: This air conditioner is composed of an outdoor unit (not shown in the figure) and an indoor unit 1 connected with the outdoor unit, and comprises the temporary operation switch 2 disposed on the indoor unit 1 for controlling the operation of the air conditioner, and the remote controller (not shown in the figure) for remote controlling the operation of the air conditioner, and the operation is performed in the prescribed operation mode when a signal is transmitted to the indoor unit 1 by the remote controller while pressing down the temporary operation switch 2.
