PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noncontact type three-dimensional shape measuring method capable of extracting a measured shape of a measuring object part from data on a group of points, without the necessity of preparing design data of the object on the occasion of measurement. SOLUTION: A measured shape of a hole to be the measuring object part is extracted from data on a group of points by setting beforehand shape extraction data D1-D4 for prescribing a design shape of the hole, by containing three-dimensional coordinates values of a shape specification point on the outline of the hole and a vector value indicating the normal line direction of its belonging surface, and hole shape information, and performing collation with the design shape prescribed from the shape extraction data D1-D4, or a measured shape of a cross section outline is extracted from data on a group of points, concerning a cross section outline included in an orthogonal reference cross section to a curved surface part of the measuring object, by setting beforehand shape extraction data L1, L2, and D5 for prescribing a design shape of a curved surface part, by containing three-dimensional coordinates values of shape specification points on a plurality of straight reference lines along the cross section outline and vector values indicating the directions of their belonging reference lines.
