PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal working oil composition for a zinc-plated steel plate exhibiting excellent lubricity (processability) to suppress peeling of zinc plating or generation of an abrasion powder on metal working and to reduce a friction coefficient, and to provide a metal working-cum-cleaning oil for a zinc-plated steel plate that exhibits excellent lubricity to suppress peeling of zinc plating or generation of an abrasion powder, is excellent in cleaning properties, rust-preventive properties and degreasing properties and can be used as a metal working-cum-cleaning oil, a rust preventive-cum-metal working-cum-cleaning oil or the like and further for leveler cleaning, cleaning before press or the like. SOLUTION: The metal working oil composition for a zinc-plated steel plate comprises a base oil and, incorporated therewith, at least one organic sulfur compound selected from among thiazole compounds and thiadiazole compounds and an alkali metal- or alkaline earth metal-containing compound as a pH adjusting agent.
