PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inform a party of estimated arrival time at the destination automatically regarding estimated arrival time information service system and its method. SOLUTION: A first terminal (mobile terminal) 1 inputs the address information, the destination information, estimated starting time information, estimated arrival time information service request of a second terminal 7 (party side terminal) by an input means 11 and transmits it including the positional information by a positional information acquiring means 19 to a server 2. The sever 2 stores the positional information of the first terminal 1 and the address information of the second terminal information to a data base 22 together with the route information and the time table information of public transportation, and the map information while referring to these pieces of information, thus obtaining the travelling route to the destination, informs the second terminal 7 of the estimated arrival time obtained by referring to the estimated starting time and the time table information of the public transportation, and also watches whether the travelling route is along the scheduled travelling route or not by using a process means 21 based upon the positional information of the first terminal 1 received at prescribed time interval.
