PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for detecting and diagnosing problems relating to TCP. SOLUTION: The disclosed method includes: how many times a re-transmission timeout occurs in accordance with a time and an order of TCP packets transmitted from a TCP transmitting device via a network path and received in a TCP receiving device; and displaying that a first performance problem occurs because of the network path when the number of times of retransmission timeout occurrence exceeds a predetermined threshold value.
