PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage case capable of preventing stored tools from rattling. SOLUTION: The storage case 1 for storing a tool 10 equipped with a tapered part 13 getting narrower in the vicinity of a tip includes an inner tube 3 and an outer tube 2 which are axially slidable from each other and a slide control means provided to permit and limit the slide between both tubes on at least one of the inner tube 3 and the outer tube 2. One of the inner and outer tubes 3 and 2 is equipped with a bulkhead 42 having a hole 43 for inserting the tip of the tool and restricting the tapered part 13, and the other is equipped with a contact 23 coming into contact with a base end surface 15 of the tool 10. A separation distance between the bulkhead 42 and the contact 23 is reduced against slide restricting force of the slide control means to restrict the tool 10. The inner tube 3 and the outer tube 2 are separated so as to allow the tool 10 to be taken out. The position of the bulkhead 42 is specified so that the tip of the tool protruding from the hole 43 is located inside one of the tubes. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
