PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foot warmer, capable of achieving heating effect or antibacterial effect by far-infrared ray from the upper surface side as well as from the back side of feet, and ceramic balls usable for various applications including the foot warmer. SOLUTION: The foot warmer 1 is provided with a case 10 provided with an inner bottom surface in such size that both feet can be placed on it, and a heating device 30 to heat the inside of the case. The case 10 is provided with a lid member 11 having a hole 12 through which both legs can be inserted with clearance, and a heat insulation sheet 13 installed on a lower surface of it for preventing emission of heat outward. A number of the ceramic balls 20, each mainly comprising ceramic, and molded in an almost spherical shape of 5-20 mm in diameter, are charged on the inner bottom surface of the case to form a layer of at least 40 mm in height. As the legs are inserted into the layer of the ceramic balls 20, the ceramic balls 20 cover upper surfaces of the feet. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
