A method for manufacturing a wood charcoal using waste wood is provided to manufacture a wood charcoal as a solid fuel by making sawdust from wood remained after pruning or waste wood and mixing the sawdust with predetermined quantities of charcoal and nitro-celluloid, and a wood charcoal with excellent ignition property and a high heating value manufactured by the method is provided. A method for manufacturing wood charcoal using waste wood comprises: a sawdust making process of pulverizing wood to make sawdust; a drying process of drying the sawdust to remove water contained in the sawdust; a charcoal making process of burning a portion of the sawdust to make charcoal; a mixing process of mixing the dried sawdust, charcoal powder, and nitro-celluloid at a predetermined ratio; a compression molding process of molding a mixture of the sawdust, the charcoal powder, and the nitro-celluloid into a predetermined shape in a compression molding machine; and a packing process of packing the dried wood charcoal. The sawdust and charcoal powder have a grain size of 1.0 to 2.0 mm, and the sawdust, the charcoal powder and the nitro-celluloid are mixed at a mixing ratio of 60:30:10 to 80:18:2. |
