A plasma display apparatus is provided to reduce erroneous discharge during reset and address periods by decreasing the deviation of wall charge amounts formed in discharge cells according to the supplement of erase pulses. A plasma display apparatus includes a plasma display panel and drivers. The plasma display panel includes first and second electrodes. The drivers supply erase pulses, gradually decreased from a first voltage to a second voltage, to the second electrodes after supplying a negative sustain pulse to the first electrodes. Distance(D) between the first and second electrodes is larger than width(W) of the first and second electrodes. The first and second electrodes include transparent electrodes(112Y,112Z).
