A method and a system for providing banner AD(ADvertisement) equipped with a search function, and a computer-readable recording medium storing a program thereof are provided to realize a banner AD function and the searching function at the same time by linking the banner AD with a search input window. An AD display server(410) links a search function with a banner AD. The AD display server includes a loader(510) loading a search input window equipped with the search function, a banner AD display unit(520) displaying the search input window to a banner AD window including the banner AD, a keyword transferor(530) encoding/transferring an inputted keyword when search for the keyword is performed in the search input window, an information searcher(540) searching information related to the keyword in a search database(550), and an information display unit(560) displaying a search result of the search database. The loader provides the search input window in a way for loading a user interface of a search site, which provides the search function, to the banner AD window. The loader provides the keyword related to the banner AD to the search input window in a default value. An expose unit(570) exposes a website of an advertiser to a user when the banner AD is clicked by mouse point.
