PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to thin a birefringent layer without damaging visibility of a visualized latent image.

SOLUTION: The layered body 10 for discrimination is provided with: a reflection layer 13; and the refringent layer 12 including a first birefringent part 12a which faces a part of the front surface of the reflection layer 13 and second birefringent parts 12b which face other parts of the front surface and have slow axis directions different from the slow axis direction of the first birefringent part 12a, wherein each of first and second birefringent parts 12a, 12b has a retardation at wavelengthλ=550 nm which falls into the range of 3λ/32 to 5λ/32.
