<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power control device that enables to stably obtain power suitable for driving a load means while achieving energy saving and a reduction in power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: A current of power P supplied to a large AC motor 4 is detected by a current sensor 5. A voltage of the power P supplied to the motor 4 is detected by a voltage sensor 6. The detection information detected by the current sensor 5 and that detected by the voltage sensor 6 are outputted to a measuring device 7. Variations in the power P supplied to the motor 4 are measured by the measuring device 7 on the basis of the detection information outputted from the current sensor 5 and that outputted from the voltage sensor 6 so as to output the measuring result to a control device 8. The control device 8 determines whether the power P supplied to the motor 4 is within the range of proper output W on the basis of the measurement result outputted from the measuring device 7. When determined that the power P is out of the range of the proper output W, the voltage of the power P is stepped up or stepped down by the control device 8 for transformation adjustment so that the power P supplied to the motor 4 is within the range of the proper output W. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
