PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which can obtain compressed image data suitable for purpose of utilization after imaging. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus (1) has an imaging means to image an object to generate image data, a compression means to compress the image data to generate compressed image data, and a recording means to record each of the compressed image data and non-compressed image data as separate files.
