PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous casting mold capable of achieving a longer life compared with conventional ones by suppressing, further preventing a Cr-plated layer from exfoliating from a cooling member to protect the cooling member. SOLUTION: The continuous casting mold 10 has the cooling member 12 for forming a vertically penetrating space 11, and manufactures cast pieces by supplying molten steel to the space 11 and cooling it. In the casting mold, multilayered Cr-plated layers 14, 15 are provided on a molten steel contact surface 13 of the cooling member 12 within a range up to the upper end of the cooling member 12 or at least 100 mm upward and 100 mm downward, from a surface level of the molten steel as a reference, and furthermore, a residual stress of compression of 50 MPa or more to 300 MPa or less is applied to at least the outermost surface layer, the Cr-plated layer 14, of the laminated Cr-plated layers 14, 15.
