IDENTIFICATION, QUANTIFICATION AND CONVERSION OF SUCCINIMIDE IN PROTEINS

The present disclosure relates to methods of detecting degradation of proteins. More specifically, the present disclosure is directed toward identification and/or quantification of succinimide formation in a protein. Further disclosed are methods of optimizing a protein formulation or designing a protein sequence based upon identification and/or quantification of succinimide formation, methods of assessing long term stability of a protein formulation with respect to succinimide formation, and methods of converting a succinimide-containing protein back to its native aspartic acid-containing form.
