SYSTEM FOR DETECTION OF NOISE JAMMING SIGNAL IMPROVING THE SIDE LOBE BLANKING AND ITS METHOD

A noise jamming signal detection system for improving a side lobe blanking unit and a method therefor are provided to decide on a jamming signal incoming to a main lobe as maintaining effect of the side lobe blanking unit effectively, thereby improving radar jamming signal detection capacities. The first signal processor(A) obtains target data to be transmitted to a control unit(10) by pre-/post-processing radar signals incoming from a main lobe antenna(1). The second signal processor(B) blanks incorrect data incoming from a side lobe antenna(4) via a side lobe blanking channel. A controller(C) consists of a side lobe blanking processor(7) which compares results of data incoming from the first and second signal processors to derive target data from a main lobe and sends the derived data to the control unit, and a module(9) which calculates averages of noise incoming from the main and side lobe antennas.
