A socket for holding a backlight lamp and a terminal protection jack for making a backlight lamp terminal contact with socket for holding a backlight lamp by relaying them are provided to protect the backlight lamp terminal for having high durability by preventing the backlight lamp from receiving excessive force by the terminal protection jack. A backlight lamp terminal(100) is used in a flat panel display device. A socket for holding a backlight lamp fixes the backlight lamp terminal and connects to the circuit board. A housing(10) has a reception space for receiving the backlight lamp terminal inside. An elasticity contact piece contacts with the backlight lamp terminal in the reception space, and contacts with the circuit board at the lower part. A terminal protection jack relays the contact between the elasticity contact piece and the backlight lamp terminal. The lower part of the elasticity contact piece contacts with the circuit board of the circuit board contact part. The backlight lamp terminal contacts with the two vertically extended terminal contact part(22) at the upper part of the elasticity contact piece. A penetration hole receives the backlight terminal, and is formed in a body(32). A middle contact part is extended vertically along the penetration hole in the body. The backlight lamp terminal is received in the penetration hole. The middle contact part contacts with the terminal contact part, and contacts with the elasticity contact piece.
