<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce unnatural feeling imparted to a passenger in a hybrid type outboard motor provided with an electric motor and an engine discharging exhaust gas in water. <P>SOLUTION: A control selecting part 67 changes a first mode in which only drive force of the electric motor 31 is transmitted to a propeller and a second mode in which drive force of the engine 30 is transmitted to the propeller according to a tilt position of a lever 11, that is, an instruction of a rotation direction of the propeller and an instruction value of the rotational speed. Lever tilt amount to be a threshold value when changing from the first mode to the second mode is fixed to be larger when rotating the propeller backward than when rotating the propeller forward. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
