<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless telephone device and a hand-off method in the wireless telephone device, capable of suppressing the occurrence of instant disconnection in a MAHHO as much as possible. <P>SOLUTION: The wireless telephone device 1 includes a communication unit 11, a control unit 12 and a voice processing unit 14. When receiving a search request for requesting the complement processing of a hand-off candidate frequency by the communication unit during a telephone call, the control unit 12 makes a speaker output a quasi voice and carries out the complement processing of switching a present frequency in use to the hand-off candidate frequency.
