<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease each of the number of data lines and the number of output channels included in the data driver by 1/3, thereby decreasing the manufacturing cost and lowering the power consumption, and to prevent deterioration in color vision by making transition of video signals different for each adjacent unit pixels, thereby improving the image quality. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display includes a display area, including a plurality of pixel cells formed in respective regions defined by a plurality of gates and data lines, the pixel cells along a data-line direction being provided with at least three colors repetitively arranged by turns, and the pixel cells along a gate-line direction being, provided in the same color, where polarity of video signal is inverted every 2N pixel cells (N is a natural number) along the data-line direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
