<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a column-mounted knee airbag device installed on a vehicle of which the gap between a lap part of a passenger and a rear surface of an instrument panel differs between right and left of the steering column, capable of deploying the knee airbag upright against the lap part of the passenger. <P>SOLUTION: A center line Lb' in a vehicle width direction of the knee airbag 24 in an deployment completion state is offset to the side of which the gap between the lap part (right lap part 14R, left lap part 14L) and the rear surface 16R of the instrument panel 16 is larger, which is either of the right or left of the steering column 18, regarding an axial line Lc of the steering column 18.
