PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone terminal capable of suppressing discomfort due to listening to received signals, such as being whispered in one's ear. SOLUTION: The telephone terminal comprises a plurality of means for giving a sense of distance and giving a sense of distance selecting means. The plurality of means for giving the sense of distance perform power adjustment to a call signal, for at least its high-frequency component to give pseudo-sense of distance with a partner speaker, and gives different sense of distance. The given sense of distance selecting means selects one among the plurality of means for giving sense of distance and directs the selected means, to give sense of distance to the call signal.
