<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curtain side airbag device showing other possibilities of using a space in a car interior and capable of restraining an occupant against impact from the side. <P>SOLUTION: This airbag device 1 is furnished with an inflator 3 to work in detecting collision of a vehicle and an airbag 5 normally folded and to expand and deploy along side surfaces in the car interior of the vehicle V by gas introduced from the inflator 3 in detecting the collision. This airbag device 1 is stored in a storage space 30 along a ceiling surface in the car interior of the vehicle. Additionally, the airbag 5 is normally held on a tray 6 and is carried toward the side surfaces in the car interior by sliding motion of the tray 6 in detecting the collision. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
