<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a controller-integrated rotary electric machine wherein the state of disposition of a control board can be improved without adverse influence on a ventilating function. <P>SOLUTION: The controller-integrated rotary electric machine is obtained by integrally assembling a rotary electric machine main body MA and the control board 40. The rotary electric machine MA has a rotor 4 and a stator 3 and has therein a ventilation passage VP for passing cooling air flowing in parallel with a rotating shaft 10 provided in the rotor 4. The control board 40 is substantially rectangular and is attached to an end face of the rotary electric machine MA so that the control board is extended in the direction perpendicular to the rotating shaft 10 of the rotor 4. The control board has a control circuit for controlling the energization of a coil 3b provided on the stator 3.
