<p>The vehicle has front and rear axle steering systems for adjusting front and rear axle steering angles. The method involves determining the current steering wheel angle, determining the actual bend angle, determining the desired bend angle between the longitudinal axes of the vehicle and of the trailer as a function of the steering wheel angle and adjusting the rear axle steering angle taking account of the actual and desired bend angles. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a controller or regulator for implementing the inventive method (B) and a steering system in a vehicle for implementing the inventive method.</p> |
