U-TYPE COOLING PLATE SYSTEM OF LINEAR MOTORS

A U-type cooling plate system of a linear motor is provided to suppress thermal deformation of an LM(Linear Motion) block or an LM guide by transferring heat of a mover to cooling plates installed on upper and side surfaces of the mover by convection and radiation. A U-type cooling plate system(3) of a linear motor includes a transfer table, a stator, a mover(4), an LM block, an LM guide, and a cooling plate(10). The stator is installed on a bed of the linear motor. The mover is installed above the stator. The LM block and the LM guide are installed at both sides of the transfer table. The cooling plate is installed between the transfer table and the mover. The cooling plate is U-shaped and composed of an upper cooling plate(10-1) and side cooling plates(10-2). The upper cooling plate is installed on the mover to receive heat of the mover. The side cooling plates are installed on both side surfaces of the mover to receive radiant heat of the mover.
