RADIO FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATION READER/WRITER AND RFID SYSTEM

An RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) reader and an RFID system are provided to improve sensing distance and rate of the RFID reader by using a dual linear polarization. An RFID reader(200) includes an antenna and a wireless recognition unit. The antenna has a feed circuit and an antenna radiator(210) connected to the feed circuit. The wireless recognition unit is connected to the antenna through the feed circuit and processes signals transmitted to or received from the antenna. The antenna is a dual linear polarization antenna to transceive signals of vertical and horizontal polarizations and has a first port for the vertical polarization and a second port for the horizontal polarization.
